The University of Liverpool’s IT Services Department is seeking a Senior Research IT Platform Engineer to join its Research IT Team. The team supports a wide range of research computing infrastructure, including the Barkla HPC cluster (over 12,000 cores), a HTCondor pool, Linux servers and cloud platforms, delivering high-quality services to researchers and students. As part of an ambitious expansion of Research IT capabilities, the University is growing its portfolio of services, including enhanced infrastructure, research software engineering support and deeper researcher engagement. This role is central to building a strong, technology-driven team to support these developments.
You will administer and further develop research computing platforms across local and national resources, including HPC, HTCondor, high-performance storage, virtual desktop and cloud infrastructure.
