The Courtauld’s mission is to advance the understanding of the visual arts of past and present across the world, through advanced research, innovative teaching, inspiring exhibitions and programmes, and the stewardship of our collections. We aim to be the most critically engaged, welcoming and generous institution for the study of art in the world.
As a Casual Commercial and Visitor Engagement Assistant, you will be the friendly face of The Courtauld when we open our doors to visitors. Bringing your personality and creativity to The Courtauld, you’ll greet every visitor with a friendly and warm welcome. You’ll work flexibly, collegiately, and with good humour across both the Retail and Gallery admissions areas. In the welcome hall and ticket desk you’ll supply our visitors with up-to-date visitor information about the Gallery’s history and its event and exhibition programme and offer them advice on choosing the right admission ticket. You’ll inform and encourage visitors to enhance their visit through sales of guidebooks, catalogues and event tickets. In the Retail space you’ll know our products inside-out and offer well-informed and thoughtful advice on purchases. And in everything you do, you’ll aim for the highest possible standards of visitor care.
