This is an exciting opportunity for an administrator to join the Clinical Liaison Team at the Faculty of Health to cover a secondment.
About the role
The Clinical Liaison Team is responsible for providing comprehensive management and administration of the medical and dental schools’ clinical placements and teaching. The focus of the team is on clinical provider liaison and engaging with the wider health community. We are currently seeking to appoint an individual to take up the post of Assistant Administrator (Dental).
You will support the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Dental Therapy and Hygiene (DTH) programmes with administration of academic teaching activities. You will be part of a team of five staff. You will be expected to liaise with our academic staff and professional services colleagues about academic teaching sessions and maintain the student digital learning environment.
The post will be located at our North Campus in the John Bull Building, Plymouth Science Park, Derriford, Plymouth, PL6 8BU. You will be expected to work in the John Bull Building for most of the time, however we do offer informal hybrid working arrangements.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until July 2027.
What we’re looking for
You will be a highly motivated, well organised individual, who has experience of office administration. You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (especially Excel). You will be an effective communicator who can work effectively as part of a team. You will need to have a meticulous attention to detail, be accurate and work to set deadlines. You will need to be confident handling data.
