Accounts Assistant Job at Bexhill-on-sea, Sussex Full Time

This is a great opportunity to join an established general practice in Bexhill-on-Sea, supporting a close-knit team in a varied and hands-on accounts assistant role.

Working directly with the Practice Manager, you’ll play an important part in keeping the day-to-day running of the practice on track. Developing your technical skills in a supportive environment with clear scope to progress.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the team with bookkeeping and accounts preparation tasks
• Assisting with client work across a range of general practice assignments
• Maintaining accurate financial records and processing data efficiently
• Managing your own workload and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
• Liaising with clients and colleagues in a professional manner

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in an accountancy practice setting
• Sound understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping processes
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work
• Competent with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Minimum 5 GCSEs at grade A C, including Maths and English
• Reliable, organised, and punctual with a positive attitude
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• Salary: £25,000+ FTE, depending on experience
• Hours: minimum 22.5 hours per week across 3 days
