LSE is committed to building a diverse, equitable and truly inclusive university

The London School of Economics is recognised as one of the leading social science universities in the world, ranked among the top universities nationally and internationally. The School is synonymous with quality, progressive thinking and delivering excellence. The HR Division provides advice and support to the School and its diverse customer base of circa 4,000 employees.
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced HR Partner to join the team. This is an opportunity to make a real impact, use your professional skills in an interesting environment and contribute positively to a high-performing team.
You will partner a mixed portfolio of departments and will be expected to make an immediate contribution through providing customer focused HR interventions to address people issues and organisational challenges. You will deploy coaching and consultancy skills to drive and influence a high performance culture in furtherance of the School’s overall strategic direction.
The role of HR Partner is truly generalist, with a mix of operational and strategic work. Therefore, to be successful in this role you must be able to work flexibly and manage a number of cases and projects at any one time. You must be a strong communicator and influencer – someone who excels at building relationships at all levels across an organisation with advanced relationship management skills, demonstrated through successful service delivery. Having a broad generalist background, you will, ideally, also have a strong interest in, and experience of, a specialist area of Human Resources work.
The ideal candidate will have experience of performing successfully in a similar role in a diverse, complex and challenging environment. It is a given that such candidates will also possess the right mix of technical HR knowledge and skills. You should also have the ability to work on your own initiative, developing proactive proposals in line with strategic goals on area of expertise, take independent, informed decisions and provide advice and input to others.
We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, excellent training and development opportunities, and a range of other benefits.
